LION MINTS PROGRAM

The Lions of Michigan Foundation is the Michigan distributor of Lion Mints.  Lion Mints were developed and originally manufactured by LifeSavers of Australia, and they are now produced by Dollar Sweets Company in Australia.

Lions Clubs throughout Michigan purchase Lion Mints products from the Lions of Michigan Foundation for resale or distribution in their communities.  The Lion Mints Program has raised millions of dollars for Michigan Lions Clubs and our foundation.

Lion Mint products are also available to other non-profit groups or businesses for fundraising or resale purposes.

Profits from the Lion Mints Program are used for eye care and hearing aids for the needy.

SIGHT & HEARING SWEEPSTAKES

Our Sight & Hearing Sweepstakes is a state-wide raffle whereby Lions and Lioness Clubs throughout Michigan participate in selling tickets for a share of the proceeds.  The Sight & Hearing Sweepstakes generates more than $75,000 annually for eye care and hearing aids for financially struggling Michigan residents.

Tickets can be ordered by contacting your local Lions Club or by calling 517-887-6640.  The raffle drawing is normally held in May of each year, and cash prizes total $14,500.

EYE CARE, DO YOU RUN

Our annual 5K, 8K and 1/2 Marathon charity runs are held on the last full weekend of June at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, Michigan.  The runs are held in conjunction with Oscoda's Annual Art on the Beach.  These are charity runs, and participants may run on behalf of other designated charities.

While helping raise money to provide eye care for needy people across Michigan, you will enjoy a scenic run on a certified, well maintained and paved course along the shoreline of beautiful Van Ettan Lake.

Early registration is $25, and registration after June 1 is $30.  All participants receive a shirt and other participation gifts, and prizes are awarded for both men and women in each age group.

EYE CARE, DO YOU WALK-A-THON

Our Walk-a-Thon is a 5K, and it is also held the last weekend of June at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, Michigan.  The Walk-a-Thon is for people enjoy a relaxing walk.
