The Lions of Michigan Service Foundation provides
financial assistance and referral services to help uninsured and
underinsured Michigan residents with medical needs. Funding is
provided for sight restoration, hearing improvement, medical
care/expenses and medically necessary devices/equipment. All applicants must be sponsored by a Michigan
Lions Club or Lions District.
Financial Assistance per client is normally limited to $5,000. Applications are reviewed quarterly, usually in January, May, July and October. When it is deemed detrimental to the health or quality of life of an applicant to follow normal procedures, emergency assistance may be authorized.
