The Lions of Michigan Foundation is the Michigan distributor of Lion Mints. Lion Mints were developed and originally manufactured by LifeSavers of Australia, and they are now produced by Dollar Sweets Company in Australia.
Lions Clubs throughout Michigan purchase Lion Mints products from the Lions of Michigan Foundation for resale or distribution in their communities. The Lion Mints Program has raised millions of dollars for Michigan Lions Clubs and our foundation.
Lion Mint products are also available to other non-profit groups or businesses for fundraising or resale purposes.
Profits from the Lion Mints Program are used for eye care and hearing aids for the needy.
Lion Mints Information
Thank you for choosing Lion Mints to advance your club’s fundraising and promotional efforts. For more than 20 years, Lion and Lioness Clubs in the United States and around the world have depended on the extraordinary profits generated by the sale of Lion Mints to purchase eyeglasses and hearing aids for the needy; send kids to camp; assist the disabled; help school programs and provide support to the community.
There are many ways to use Lion Mints to build your Club’s project fund. The traditional counter-top tray program and Candy Days are time-proven fundraisers. However, many Clubs are now having success in selling Lion Mints directly to convenience stores and retailers for re-sale to store customers. The wholesale approach is possible because Lion Mints are now imprinted with UPC codes which enable retailers to easily inventory the Lion Mint products. A club can sell Lion Mints directly to local retailers for 30 to 35 cents and the retailer can sell Lion Mints for 50 to 75 cents. With the wholesale approach, Clubs do not have to worry about inventory, pilferage, etcetera.
Many Clubs are also using the direct sales approach with Lion Mint Drops. Lion Mint Drops can be sold directly to hotels, restaurants, law firms, funeral homes, etcetera. Many businesses have candy trays for customer service, and Lion Mint Drops are the perfect product. At 3 cents each, Lion Mint Drops are priced lower than many of the individually wrapped candy products available, and businesses like the idea of supporting the local Lions Club and community and displaying a product with the Lions emblem.
